Pub history
This grand building is Hull’s former general post office. It was built in 1908–9, on the site of Suffolk Palace, owned by the mighty de la Pole family. Erected in c1380, it was later known as The King’s Manor. The building is now partly occupied by The Three John Scotts. It is named after three generations of the same family, who were vicars of St Mary’s Church, opposite this pub, during 1816–83.
