Burns’ Week 2026
Customers at Wetherspoon pubs, will be able to enjoy some traditional Scottish food and drinks to mark the occasion (Wed 21 to Tue 27 Jan inclusive)
Wetherspoon pubs will be serving Scottish haggis, neeps and tatties, as well as a Caledonian Burger.
The meals include award-winning haggis from Grants of Speyside.
Wetherspoon Jan Sale starts Friday January 2, 2026
Wetherspoon is holding a January sale, including a pint of Worthington’s beer at 99p in more than 600 of the pubs.
The sale will run from Friday January 2 until Thursday January 15, inclusive (from Saturday 3 January, in Scottish pubs).
Wetherspoon’s first pub in Spain
Wetherspoon is set to open its first pub in continental Europe – Castell de Santa Bàrbera. Based in Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport, the new pub is set to open in February 2026.

Wetherspoon pubs will be serving a new range of gourmet burgers from Wednesday 14 May. The new burgers include The Big Smoke, Cheese meltdown, Buffalo, BBQ stack and The Empire State.
Jaipur at Wetherspoon
Wetherspoon pubs will be stocking Jaipur from 9 April.
Jaipur is a flagship beer from Thornbridge brewery in Derbyshire, first brewed in 2005 and was the beer that put Thornbridge brewery on the map. Tasting notes for Jaipur are below.

1664 Bière on draught – new world beer
All Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and Ireland will be introducing a new premium draught lager. The beautifully crafted French premium lager, 1664 Bière (4.6% ABV), is being added to the company’s draught beer range.

Pub history
This pub takes its name from Castell de Santa Bàrbera, a castle which sits overlooking the bay of Alicante, atop Mount Benacantil. Originating in the 9th century, it has served as a look-out, military fortress and prison. Designated in 1961 as a Site of Cultural Interest, it remains one of the city’s most significant historic landmarks.
