Jaipur at Wetherspoon
Wetherspoon pubs will be stocking Jaipur from 9 April.
Jaipur is a flagship beer from Thornbridge brewery in Derbyshire, first brewed in 2005 and was the beer that put Thornbridge brewery on the map. Tasting notes for Jaipur are below.

1664 Bière on draught – new world beer
All Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and Ireland will be introducing a new premium draught lager. The beautifully crafted French premium lager, 1664 Bière (4.6% ABV), is being added to the company’s draught beer range.

Pub history
Named after the poet born in Bilston, in 1862, and best remembered for his patriotic ballads. Sir Henry Newbolt is remembered chiefly for his patriotic and nautical ballads, such as Drakes’ Drum (1897). Perhaps his best-known lines are from The Island Race: ‘There’s a breathless hush in the close tonight/Ten to make and the match to win. But his Captain’s hand on his shoulder smote/Play up! play up! and play the game!’
