54–58 Torquay Road, Paignton, Devon, TQ3 3AA
This is named after Isaac Merritt Singer, who made his fortune from mass-producing sewing machines. The home he had built in Paignton was bought by the council in 1946, for use as a civic centre.
A print of Isaac Merritt Singer.
A collection of Singer sewing machines can be found in the pub.
