Autumn beer festival
A range of 30 real ales, including five from international brewers, will be available during a 12-day beer festival this autumn.
The festival will run from Wednesday 1 to Sunday 12 October, inclusive.
The overseas brewers are from Australia, India, France and two from the USA.
It is the first time the festival has featured a real ale from India and France.

The Christmas menu is available from Wednesday 12 November until Wednesday 31 December (excluding Christmas Day).

Jaipur at Wetherspoon
Wetherspoon pubs will be stocking Jaipur from 9 April.
Jaipur is a flagship beer from Thornbridge brewery in Derbyshire, first brewed in 2005 and was the beer that put Thornbridge brewery on the map. Tasting notes for Jaipur are below.

1664 Bière on draught – new world beer
All Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and Ireland will be introducing a new premium draught lager. The beautifully crafted French premium lager, 1664 Bière (4.6% ABV), is being added to the company’s draught beer range.

Pub history
This pub’s name refers to a once-well-known local building. North Hykeham’s two entries in the Domesday Book are the manor (estate) held by Count Alan of Brittany and the much more recent Hykeham Hall (or Hykeham Manor House) – a large house on Newark Road, set in its own grounds. Originally ‘The Grange’, it was built in 1822 by landowner Richard Ellis. It was demolished in the 1960s, followed a few years later by its outbuildings – Barns Cottage, Hall Cottage and The Lodge.
