The Springfield

Cala Gran is situated on the outskirts of Fleetwood, on the Fylde Coast, seven miles from Blackpool. The site has long attracted holiday-makers. In 1960, the north half was a camping site with a paddling pool, with the rest still to be developed. At that time, Springfield House stood on what is now the main entrance. Built in the late 19th century, the house was demolished in the 1960s.
