The Mardy Inn
The former Mardy Hotel has been a local landmark for more than a century, built in 1900–1 for the fast-developing town. In 1903, the Mardy Family and Commercial Hotel was advertised as ‘the only free house in Gorseinon’ with ‘wines and spirits of the finest quality’. There was also ‘good stabling’ at the hotel, located ‘a few minutes’ walk from the station’ (demolished in the 1960s).
