Pub history
The Linen Hall
Linen was Fermanagh’s main 18th-century produce, but was overtaken by farm produce. Salted butter was exported from Enniskillen as far as Lisbon and the West Indies. From 1880 until recently, the boot and shoe trade occupied what is now 11 Townhall Street. Similarly, there had been a wine and spirit grocer at number 13 (1880–1965), when The Vintage public house opened. The Vintage and the closed premises next door now form this Wetherspoon pub.
