The Forest House

This building is the central, surviving block of Forest House, one of Chester’s finest Georgian residences. At the front, there was a large oval courtyard with iron gates opening to Foregate Street. The gates and courtyard were removed in the early 1900s to make way for a Co-op department store, now partly occupied by Wetherspoon’s pub The Square Bottle.
