Stu Brew and Wetherspoon

Wetherspoon invited Stu Brew to take part in the Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival across The UK.

Stu Brew is Europe’s first student-led brewery and is based at Newcastle University.

Stu Brew travelled to St Austell Brewery’s (Cornwall) to produce 500 casks for the festival. The beer of choice was ‘Exam Room Tears’ a maple and pecan stout with a 5.5% ABV.

St Austell Brewery hosted the students at their brewery in Cornwall – enabling to Stu Brew to scale up production of the beer for the festival.

The collaboration with Wetherspoon and Stu Brew, includes the students’ Union-run Wetherspoon on campus, where it operates a keg line and guest cask ales.
