The Running Horse

This airport was built on the site of RAF Finningley, which closed in 1996. The name of this airside bar recalls Doncaster’s long association with horse-racing, particularly the St Leger. First run in 1776, the race was conceived at a supper party in The Red Lion, now a Wetherspoon pub in the town centre.
