The William Robert Loosley

Numbers 120–123 Oxford Road were the long-time premises of Hull, Loosley and Pearce, established in 1860, by William Robert Loosley – a carpenter and builder. Loosley began with a small store on this site, living above the shop with his wife Mary Ann. The couple had five children and were staunch Baptists and life-long members of the Union Chapel.
