Pub history
The Earl of Zetland
Located in the centre of Grangemouth, Charing Cross Church was built in 1883/4 by the Free Church of Scotland (a breakaway from the established church), designed in the early gothic style by John McKissack and William Gardner Rowan. The Glasgow-based architectural partnership began in 1874, running until 1890. Four years later, William Rowan added the church hall at the rear of what is now this pub.
