Jaipur at Wetherspoon
Wetherspoon pubs will be stocking Jaipur from 9 April.
Jaipur is a flagship beer from Thornbridge brewery in Derbyshire, first brewed in 2005 and was the beer that put Thornbridge brewery on the map. Tasting notes for Jaipur are below.

1664 Bière on draught – new world beer
All Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and Ireland will be introducing a new premium draught lager. The beautifully crafted French premium lager, 1664 Bière (4.6% ABV), is being added to the company’s draught beer range.

Customers at more than 650 Wetherspoon pubs across the UK will be able to enjoy breakfast deals for £2.99 each or less.
Poretti on draught – new world beer
Poretti (4.8% ABV) is an Italian premium full-flavoured lager, characterised by a pillowy white head, brilliant clarity and a polished golden colour.

Pub history
Close to the entrance of this pub is a stylised boat with a curved sail, recalling the keel boats which once carried coal out to collier boats waiting on the Tyne. This pub is on a busy internal street, lit by a profusion of coloured neon lights. The pub is on the ‘Cityside’ of the street, facing ‘Quayside’. The well-known song ‘The Keel Row’ recalls the heyday of the keelmen, while the former Keelmen’s Hospital, founded in 1701, still stands on City Road.
