Our award-winning pubs provide the very best customer experience, with superb quality, choice and value, in both food and drink.
We offer an extensive menu, with a wide range of choice from breakfast through to dinner, with pub classics, burgers and dogs, steaks and grills, salads and pastas, including a range of dishes under 500 Calories.
All of our meal prices include a drink, from a huge choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, making Wetherspoon great value for money.
Our club deals, offering a different menu on every week night, offer even better value. We have a fully traceable supply chain, and all of the company’s food suppliers have a globally recognised food-production standard. We seek to promote long-term relationships with suppliers, wherever possible, using locally sourced Irish and British products (see p2).
We use Irish beef in our chilli con carne and lasagne, all of our burgers contain 100 per cent Irish beef and all of our steaks come from Ireland or Britain. Food is served until 11pm, seven days a week, with breakfast served until noon.
It is our belief that our food-ordering system is quick, efficient and simple to use. Please note your table number, place and pay for your order at the bar and leave the rest to us.
We support brewers of all sizes, across the UK and Ireland, so that our customers can enjoy a diverse range of real ales.
We support over 400 breweries, delivering more than 5,000 ales through real-ale festivals twice a year, exhibitions and meet-the-brewer events.
Our range of craft beers includes those from across the Republic of Ireland, the US and UK.
We employ almost 300 full- and part-time staff across our five pubs in the Republic of Ireland. In addition, we are committed to working with contractors, craftsmen and a wide range of suppliers based in the country.
Wetherspoon employs more than 37,000 people across the UK in its pubs and head office. We aim to be a highly regarded employer, through our investment in staff training.
We support local community initiatives and projects, as well as embark on fundraising for good causes and charity events. Our five pubs in the Republic of Ireland support LauraLynn Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.
The company seeks to promote high standards of food safety and health & safety throughout the business, with 92 per cent of pubs (as at February 2016) having achieved the maximum five stars for the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme system, run by local authorities.
There are 937 pubs (99%) accredited by Cask Marque for the quality and consistency of the real ale which they serve. A total of 296 Wetherspoon pubs is listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2016 – a larger proportion, we believe, than any other substantial pub company.
We have won awards for our food and drink, staff training, pub designs and even our toilets! The Great Wood, in Blanchardstown, won the national category award for pubs (Republic of Ireland) for the best pub toilet, at the Loo of the Year Awards 2015.
We breathe new life into many dilapidated, yet beautiful, old buildings, preserving the history with sensitive restoration and even the naming of the pubs. A good example is The Old Borough, in Swords, which first opened its doors in 1809 as the Borough National School.
We welcome you to Wetherspoon and hope that you enjoy your visit.
