Breakfast

Our Wetherspoon pubs in Ireland serve breakfast during 8am–noon, followed by a full and varied menu until 11pm every day.

Many of our ingredients are sourced from Irish farmers and producers, with fresh and local produce making up a large proportion of the ingredients on the plate in front of you. We use Irish beef in our chilli con carne, lasagne and beef & stout pie. All of our beef burgers contain 100 per cent Irish beef, while all of our steaks come from Ireland and Britain.

Additionally, we use Bandon Vale Cheddar cheese, from Bandon in Co. Cork, County Dublin-based Keelings salad and vegetables, Wholesome Farms milk and Glenowen Irish dairy ice cream, made in Cork.

Wetherspoon’s pubs are rightly well known for their award-winning full cooked breakfasts, a firm favourite with customers everywhere.

Breakfast is served from 8am until noon, seven days a week, together with Lavazza coffees, available throughout the day.

Tradition

When you sit down to a cooked breakfast at your local Wetherspoon pub, the fresh and local ingredients on the plate in front of you, provided by Irish farmers and producers, represent many years of combined history and family tradition.

Irwin’s soda or wheaten bread is a popular and much-loved product from Irwin’s Bakery which was first opened for business in a small premises in Portadown, Co. Armagh, by WD Irwin and his wife Ruth. Irwin’s is still a family-run business, with grandsons Brian and Niall Irwin playing an integral role at the bakery. In 2012, Irwin’s Bakery celebrated its centenary year.

Your breakfast bacon is supplied by McCarren, based in Co. Cavan, and is guaranteed 100 per cent local and fresh. The McCarren family has been in the meat business since 1860, over five generations, and trading successfully for more than 90 years, making it one of the oldest traditional bacon-producing companies in Ireland.

Quality

Ninety per cent of McCarren’s meat is sourced from within 20 kilometres of Cavan, providing quality assurance and traceability. Loughnanes of Galway, a family-run business specialising in the production of quality sausages, supplies the pork sausages for your Wetherspoon breakfast.

The sausages are made using 100 per cent natural ingredients, in traditional Irish recipes which have been handed down through four generations of Loughnane family butchers – ‘Family Butchers since 1934’.

All ingredients are sourced locally in Ireland, with no artificial additives, colourings or GM ingredients.

Traditionally served as part of a breakfast, Clonakilty black and white pudding, from West Cork, is exceptionally rich in its Irish tradition.

Secret

The wholesome ingredients are provided by Irish farmers.

It is made using traditional methods, combining beef, oatmeal, onion and beef blood with a secret blend of spices.

Clonakilty white pudding was first created in 1986 by the Twomey family to build on the tradition of the famous black pudding, but instead combining pork, oatmeal and onion with a blend of spices.

Completing your breakfast are Riverview free-range shell eggs, from Watergrasshill, Co. Cork. The Kelleher family owned business has been the home of amazing Irish eggs since 1966.

We are proud to support numerous suppliers and farmers across Ireland, bringing you the best local and regional produce for your enjoyment.
