Our History

Larry Grayson was a highly popular comedian and television presenter who died in 1995. Born William White, on 31 August 1923, he was adopted 10 days later by a couple from Nuneaton, where the future star grew up. Grayson’s popularity peaked in the late 1970s as host of the Generation Game, with catchphrases such as ‘Oooh, shut that door’.
