Local attractions

Southend is well known for its bustling nightlife, with plenty of clubs to choose from and options for everyone. Sports bars are in abundance, with The Last Post pub, just below the hotel, showing live sports on two large projector screens and five flat-screen televisions.

Whatever your reason for a trip away, we have it covered. Southend is home to the world’s longest pleasure pier. You can take the train to the end or a leisurely stroll.

You will find an Odeon cinema at the north end of High Street, along with a few popular restaurants.

The eastern esplanade is full of arcades and fish-and-chip shops, plus don’t forget to buy a stick of Southend rock for your journey home.

Southend’s Adventure Island is rated the UK’s number-one free-admission theme park, while Sea Life Adventure houses its own nursery and holds regular events for children.

There is a mini golf drive on Eastern Esplanade, as well as Southend Marine Activity Centre, which is a great day out for kids and adults alike.
