We have added two great new tasty burgers to our superb gourmet burger range.
Hugely popular for the past seven years, our selection of gourmet burgers has now been extended to include two new US-inspired choices: the Californian and the Texan burger.
The Californian marries a chicken breast burger with bacon and avocado – in a sunshine-taste combination.
Served with salad or chips and onion rings, washed down with a choice from our extensive meal deal drinks range, it is a great-tasting dish, influenced by America’s west coast.
The avocado, a brand-new addition to our menu, is a ‘superfood’, with only 62 Calories per half; low in saturated fats, sugar and sodium, it contains over 20 vitamins and minerals.
Avocado is also available as an add-on to customise any burger, along with other ingredients, including grilled halloumi, or try our new side of mac and cheese.
Our new mac and cheese, with a crunchy crumb topping, is a tasty addition to your meal.
The inspiration behind the Texan burger lies a little further south, influenced by Tex-Mex cuisine.
A 100-per-cent Irish beef burger is combined with our great-tasting chilli con carne and cheese. A pint of Devils Backbone American IPA is the perfect drink for this meal.
Our chilli con carne is made with minced beef, black turtle beans, kidney beans, cumin, smoked paprika, coriander, oregano and chipotle chilli.
The chipotle ‘smoked chilli’, is a smoke-dried jalapeño, used primarily in Mexican and Mexican-inspired cuisines, such as Mexican-American, Tex-Mex and southwestern dishes.
Together with the smoked paprika, it adds a depth of flavour to the recipe; with black beans added to the beef, as well as kidney beans, the topping is reminiscent of the more authentic Mexican recipes. Our vegetarian Texan burger option offers a vegetable burger, five-bean chilli and cheese combination.
